Request a refund
Updated 2026-07-06
If something went wrong with a Premium payment — a double charge, a payment that didn't unlock Premium, or a purchase you want to reverse — you can request a refund by email. This article explains exactly what to send, what happens after, and how long things typically take. Refunds are reviewed case by case, so we'll describe the process honestly rather than promise an outcome.
Before you write in
Two quick checks that resolve many cases without a refund request at all:
- Payment deducted but Premium not active? Give it a few minutes and reopen the app — payment confirmations occasionally take a moment. If Premium is unlocked, and you were only worried the payment failed, you're all set.
- Trying to stop future charges? That's a cancellation, not a refund — you can cancel anytime from the subscription section in your profile. A refund request is for money already paid.
What to have ready
Gather these before you email; a complete first message is the single biggest thing that speeds up your request:
- Your registered mobile number — the one you log into Diet2Fit with. This is how the team verifies the account.
- The payment reference — the Razorpay payment ID or transaction reference from your confirmation SMS or email.
- The payment date and amount — as they appear in your bank or UPI app.
- A short note on what happened — two or three sentences is plenty: what you paid for, what went wrong, what you're asking for.
Tip: can't find the payment reference? Open your UPI app or bank statement and look for the transaction around the payment time — the UTR / transaction ID shown there works too. Screenshot it and attach the screenshot to your email. A picture of the actual transaction is often the fastest thing for the team to verify against.
How to send the request
Email contact@diet2fit.com with a clear subject line such as "Refund request — [your registered mobile number]". Include everything from the list above in the body, and attach any screenshots.
You don't need to email from any particular address — the team verifies your identity against your registered mobile number, not the email you write from.
What happens next
- Review. Each request is reviewed individually against the Terms of Service. There is no automatic approval, and outcomes depend on the specifics of your case — the team will look at the payment, your account, and what happened.
- A reply either way. You'll hear back with either an approval, a clarifying question, or an explanation if the request can't be granted.
- If approved, the refund is processed through Razorpay back to your original payment method — the same UPI account, card, or bank account you paid with. Once processed, refunds typically reach you within 5-7 working days, depending on your bank.
If more than 7 working days pass after an approved refund and nothing has arrived, reply on the same email thread with your bank statement for that period — keeping it in one thread preserves the full history and gets you a faster answer.
A note on fairness
Refunds exist to fix genuine problems, and the case-by-case review is what keeps that sustainable for a small early-access product. Write in with the facts, and the team will engage with them honestly.
