Delete your account
Updated 2026-07-06
You can permanently delete your Diet2Fit account at any time by sending an email request. This article covers the exact steps, what happens to your data, and one thing you should seriously consider doing first — because deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Before you delete: save what you want to keep
Once your account is deleted, your history is gone for good — there's no restore, even if you sign up again later with the same mobile number.
So here's the tip: spend ten minutes exporting your history by hand before you send the email. Specifically worth capturing:
- Screenshots of your Progress tab — your weight trend over time is the single hardest thing to reconstruct later. Scroll through the full range and screenshot it.
- Your weekly reports — screenshot the ones from milestone weeks.
- Your meal plan — if a week's plan worked really well for you, screenshot each day from the My Plan tab. Future-you (or your next dietitian) will thank you.
- Custom foods — note down the names and nutrition values of any custom foods you created; you'd have to re-enter them from scratch anywhere else.
If you're deleting because you're switching apps or taking a break, this step matters even more.
Consider the alternative first
If your real goal is just to stop paying or take a break, you don't need to delete your account. You can cancel Premium from the subscription section in your profile and simply stop using the app — your account and logs will wait for you, and no further charges occur after cancellation. Deletion is the right choice only when you want your data gone.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to contact@diet2fit.com.
- Use the exact subject line: "Delete my Diet2Fit account".
- In the body, include the mobile number registered to your account.
You can send this from any email address — you don't need a specific one on file. The team verifies the request against your registered mobile number before acting on it, so make sure that number is correct in your email.
What happens next
- Your request is verified against your registered mobile number.
- Deletion is completed within 30 days of your verified request.
- Once done, your login stops working and your personal data is removed.
If you change your mind, reply on the same email thread as soon as possible — once deletion is completed, it cannot be reversed.
What's deleted vs what's retained
In summary:
- Deleted: your account, profile, meal plans, daily logs, tracking history (water, weight, workouts, supplements), custom foods, and other personal data held in the app.
- Retained: payment and subscription records are kept where the law requires it — financial regulations in India mandate retaining certain transaction records for a defined period, even after an account is deleted. These records are kept only as long as legally required.
For the complete, authoritative breakdown of what is removed and what is retained (and for how long), see the full policy page: diet2fit.com/delete-account.html. If anything there is unclear, ask before you send the deletion request — it's much easier to answer questions while your account still exists.
